2007 Travel Bulletin's Best Travel Insurance Provider Award

Journeys Travel Insurance were delighted with the recent win at the 2007 Travel Bulletin Awards for Best Travel Insurance Provider.

To add to their joy they are the only insurance provider to have won in this category four times.

The company believes that innovative products and competitive rates have helped them to secure this latest recognition.

The award was presented to managing director Patrick Chong. Patrick said “I am extremely pleased at being the only Travel Insurance provider to have won this award 4 times. I believe this proves our product is one of the best in the market and winning the award is a reflection on how well we are appreciated by our industry colleagues.

Our company is constantly working towards offering agents and their customers a better Travel Insurance product.

Journeys Travel Insurance raise awareness and money for Breast Cancer Care

Journeys Travel Insurance is backing Breast Cancer Care, the UK’s leading provider of breast cancer information and support, by donating up to £1 from every insurance policy sold throughout October.

Donations of up to £1 from policies sold by Journeys Travel Agents together with sales made from Travel Staff Journeys will be made. The company believes this is an ideal opportunity to raise awareness about the illness and at the same time donate to a charity which is close to their hearts.

Managing Director of Journeys Travel Insurance Patrick Chong said:
“ We are happy to be getting involved in the fundraising during Breast Cancer Awareness month and we will be donating money from all of our brands. The charity is something I give my full support to, having lost my mother to the disease and think we have the ideal opportunity to raise awareness and raise money”.

Global Travel Group Appoint Journeys Travel Insurance

The Global Travel Group has selected Journeys Travel Insurance as their preferred supplier for Travel Insurance from 23rd April 2007.

The addition of The Global Travel Group business alongside that of other consortiums including Worldchoice and Midconsort makes them one of the leading providers of insurance within the market.

Andrew Botterill, The Global Travel Groups Chief Executive comments: "The decision to appoint Journeys as a preferred supplier is a reflection of the levels of service and quality of product they supply. This in turn will benefit our agents when selling Insurance to customers".

Commenting on being appointed by The Global Travel Group, Journeys Managing Director Patrick Chong said " The quality product and services we offer travel agents was attractive to The Global Travel Group. This is a culmination of recent success for Journeys. The end of 2006 saw Journeys pick up various awards including Best Innovation for online claims at the British Travel Awards. This year looks to be bright, Journeys having already won the Best Travel Insurance Provider at the Globe Awards in January.

Guests at the 2007 Travel Weekly Globe Awards saw Journeys Travel Insurance win Best Travel Insurance Provider for the second year running at the ceremony held at London‘s Grosvenor House.

Journeys Travel Insurance wins the the innovation award for Online Claims at the British Travel Awards. The team at Journeys were overjoyed at winning this latest award, which was collected by Claims Director John Blackman and Marketing Executive Natalie Young at London's Battersea Park.
John Blackman commented "Winning this award is total recollection of the hard work that Journeys put into continuing to develop our systems and services. Our aim is to distinguish ourselves in the market and by winning the Innovation award for Online claims at this years British Travel Awards we have achieved that. Thanks to all who voted ". Journeys Travel Insurance wins Travel Bulletin award for best Travel Insurance Provider 2006.

The award was voted for by travel agents and is the third time Journeys has won the accolade. The company believes that innovative products and competitive rates have helped them to secure this latest recognition.

The award was presented to managing director Patrick Chong. Patrick said "myself and the team at Journeys are absolutely delighted to have won the award this year. I believe winning is a reflection on how well we are appreciated by our industry colleagues. Our company is constantly working towards developing new innovations. Recently we have introduced an on-line claims service, on-line medical screening, together with terrorism and dynamic packaging cover. These are just a few of our key 2006 benefits and no doubt contributing factors to why we have won this year. We will continue to enhance our products and services and look forward to building our relationship with the trade over the coming year".

Journeys Travel Insurance, a leading provider to the UK travel trade, has won "Best Travel Insurance Provider" at Travel Weekly"s Globe Awards 2006.

The award was exclusively voted for by travel agents and was presented to Journeys" managing director, Patrick Chong. This is the first year the Globe Awards has included a category for Travel Insurance, and now means Journeys is the first travel insurance provider to have won all major travel trade awards.

Journeys continues to be a major supporter of the travel trade and in 2005 provided agents and their customers with more new services than at any other time in its 15 years of trading. These new services included Online Claims and Online Medical Screening facilities, plus Journeys Agent Protection - an indemnity to protect agents against the financial failure of travel and accommodation providers.

Journeys Travel Insurance is delighted to announce that Advantage Travel Centres Member Zoe Hayward is the winner of the KL Quiz.

Zoe, who works for Brooking Travel in Goring-on-Thames, wins a fantastic DVD player. The competition was launched to all Advantage Members, following the success of the Advantage Conference 2004 in Malaysia's capital city Kuala Lumpar.

Zoe, who attended the conference herself, answered all the Kuala Lumpar related questions correctly on the Journeys' website before being picked at random from over one hundred entries to scoop the top prize.
